What you'll doWe are seeking a dedicated Customs Team Lead to ensure compliance with customs operations and maintain the integrity of customs data. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy of all customs-related data and conduct regular audits to comply with relevant laws and regulations. A key aspect of this position is driving the automation of customs processes to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline operations. You will develop and implement strategies for process improvement, leveraging technology to automate routine tasks and reporting.The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in customs compliance, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for using technology to optimize processes.In this role, you'll:Ensure all customs operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policiesDevelop and maintain reporting databases to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to customs operations.Prepare reports for senior management, highlighting trends, compliance status, and areas for improvement.Continuously assess internal processes to identify opportunities for streamlining operations, reducing risks, and improving overall efficiency.Design and conduct internal audits for customs compliance and duty recovery opportunities.Drive the automation of customs processes to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline operations.Lead a team and foster a collaborative work environment.What you bringPost-secondary education in Data Science, Customs, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) certification.2-3 years of leadership experience.Knowledge and experience with U.S. and Canadian customs regulations.Experience with Customs Self-Assessment (CSA) program.Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or Tableau.Proficient in Power BI for generating comprehensive reports.Excellent communication, coaching, and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.About UsCanadian Tire Corporation, Limited (“CTC”) is one of Canada’s most admired and trusted companies.
