Position: Controller - Private Equity-Backed CompanyYorktown Search Partners, on behalf of our esteemed client, is seeking an experienced Controller to join our team at a rapidly growing business. In this role, you will oversee the accounting function and drive the implementation of robust processes aligned with our strategic objectives. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial integrity and guiding key financial decisions.Responsibilities:
  • Lead the monthly closing process, ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy in financial statements.
  • Manage external audits and tax compliance.
  • Establish and enforce financial policies and procedures.
  • Provide insights on financial performance through data interpretation and reporting.
  • Stay abreast of legislative requirements and ensure compliance.
  • Foster team development through recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with the CFO and management team on stakeholder updates.
  • Promote transparency and effective communication across all levels.
  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration and high-performance.
Requirements:
  • 15+ years of Controller-level experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in private equity-backed companies.
  • Proficiency in ERP implementation.
  • MBA in accounting or finance preferred.
  • CPA or CFA strongly preferred.
