Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?The Utilities Analyst will be responsible for assisting in resolving margin disputes as a result of exposure differences on OTC uncleared Derivative trades. The incumbent will create daily reconciliation reports and be responsible for analyzing, monitoring, reporting and escalation of trade and portfolio level exposure differences in compliance with regulatory guidelines for in scope counterparties including EMIR, CFTC, SEC.What will you do?Produce and analyze exposure reconciliations for in-scope counterparties according to regulatory guidelines including aging and reasons for differencesTrack and monitor frequency of required reconciliations based on counterparty trade volumes in compliance with industry regulationsPartner with IT to reduce systemic risk and increase operational efficiencies in the daily processCase Management and reporting of exposure differences in TriResolve and using EUC toolsEscalating disputes/discrepancies as per Standing Orders and department Operating ProceduresLiaise with internal stakeholders and counterparties to ensure timely resolution of exposure differences in compliance with regulatory requirementsAssist in producing management reporting for KPI purposesProactively advise margin teams on potential disputes through the dayCross-train as required on additional control functions including CSA onboardingWhat do you need to succeed?Must-have1-2 years’ experience in an client facing operations or middle office role preferably with OTC derivatives and/or reconciliationCollege or University Diploma/degreeAdvanced skills in MS ExcelAttention to detailsAbility to multi-task while adhering to deadlinesStrong organisational and time management skillsGood understanding of the OTC margining workflow under the ISDA-CSA protocolsNice-to-haveExperience with utilization of AI agents and AI tools in working environmentExperience with maintaining Excel macros or equivalent scriptsExperience with programming languages and data query (e.g. VBA, Python, SQL)Experience with management information reportingFamiliarity with pricing and valuations of OTC derivatives and risks associated with collateralisation of these productsFamiliarity with collateral systems e.g. COLLINE, TriResolve, AcadiaFamiliarity with ISDA CSA documents and terminologiesUnderstanding of regulatory requirements for OTC derivatives reconciliations across regimes in scope for RBC, and ISDA protocols for OTC derivatives uncleared margin best practicesUnderstanding of OTC derivative trading, lifecycle events and settlementUnderstanding of risks and controls framework applied to Capital Markets and the OTC derivative marketsWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
