As the Financial Analyst, you will be supporting activities related to financial modeling acquisition opportunities, budgeting and forecasting, business case analysis and scenario planning.Responsibilities
  • Prepare financial pro-forma models, scenario analysis, budgets, and forecasts
  • Monitor portfolio of existing properties and assist with relevant financial analysis
  • Cash flow analysis and planning
  • Complete and analyze variance analysis in accordance with company requirements
  • Develop and maintain financial models, ensuring data captures an accurate reflection of agreements and contracts in accordance with industry standards
  • Support Corporate Development initiatives by tracking and monitoring various inbound files, and incorporate data into financial models
  • Review, summarize and incorporate third party analysis (i.e., engineering, cost consultants, geotechnical reports etc.)
  • Perform in‐depth industry, market, and competitor research to support the investment review process
  • Prepare ad hoc data reporting and detailed analysis in support of budget and variance explanations
  • Other duties as assigned to support operational requirements
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in an analytical role in Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Completion of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program
  • Experience with multi-residential facilities is an asset
  • Strong experience working as a business partner in delivering better decision support and enabling strategic initiatives which help to improve the organization’s financial performance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong sense of ethics and the ability to handle sensitive information with tact and discretion
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills with Microsoft Suite Applications
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial, property management and IT management best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Strong technical aptitude and work experience with technical applications and systems
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency is required
  • Team player, with the ability to work with peers and business leaders throughout the organization
