
LEGAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT – BUSINESS LAW

- Interact professionally with clients for appointments and other matters
- File maintenance and management, including opening and closing files, and keeping paper and electronic files up to date
- Manage calendars and maintain an effective bring-forward system
- Liaise with other legal assistants, paralegals, lawyers, and clients to monitor and support file progress
- Prepare and send outgoing correspondence
- Handle document management tasks, including printing, scanning, and saving correspondence, etc.
- Prepare and submit expense reports
- Complete semi-monthly billing process
- Perform other general administrative duties as required
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant in corporate commercial law
- Previous experience in, or working knowledge of, civil litigation procedures
- Proficiency in BC Online and myLTSA considered an asset
- Completion of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program
- Advanced technical and computer skills with Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent spelling, grammar and proofreading skills
