- This position is eligible for relocation support up to $7,500, based on distance of relocation
- Completion of an accredited MRI program.
- Registered in good standing with College of Medical Radiation & Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
- Completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) program.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and exercise independent judgement.
- Demonstrated ability to function independently.
- Demonstrated ability to assess requests and prioritize them to ensure excellent and prompt patient care.
- Proven ability to adapt standard work procedures to emergency situations.
- Demonstrated commitment to continued professional and personal growth and development through Continuing Education Programs and Self-Directed Learning Opportunities.
- Demonstrated compassion and respect for the patient, family and support persons in the provision of imaging services
- Working knowledge of RHPA.
- Working knowledge of standards of practice for related field.
- Able to identify and recommend process improvement opportunities
- Able to work independently and co-operatively as part of a team.
- Recent satisfactory performance appraisal.
- Recent satisfactory attendance record.
- No recent disciplinary events.
- Perform all required MRI examinations as prescribed by physicians in accordance with relevant protocols and procedures.
- Maintain strong team environment amongst MRI technologist, MRI Technologist Assistants and Imaging Nursing Team.
- Perform a large variety of MRI specialty procedures including cardiac imaging and breast biopsies.
- Collaborate with the Pacemaker Clinic to perform MRI exams on patients with MRI conditional pacemakers.
- Coordinate with the Anesthesia team to provide MRI access to young children and patients with special needs.
- Perform MRI studies to assist radiation therapy planning.
