- Implement procurement standards, methods, and best practices across the organization.
- Conduct pricing negotiations and contract reviews with vendors and suppliers.
- Oversee compliance with supply chain policies and liaise with internal stakeholders to meet evolving requirements.
- Engage with suppliers for evaluation and qualification.
- Analyze product/service options based on price, suitability, and availability.
- Issue accurate purchase orders in accordance with internal policy.
- Research products, compare alternatives, and manage inventory replenishment for central stores.
- Resolve procurement-related issues and complaints.
- Advise and guide end-users on purchasing processes and decisions.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in procurement, supply chain, or supplier relationship management.
- Understanding of supply chain management frameworks and central procurement processes.
- Experience with supplier evaluation and relationship management.
- Proficiency with ERP systems for procurement (Workday experience is a strong asset).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong numerical reasoning skills; high attention to detail and ability to manage shifting priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
- Relevant supply chain certification (CSCP/SCMP or equivalent) is desirable.
- Eligibility to work in Canada as a Citizen, Permanent Resident, or with a valid work permit.
