Rope Access Insulator (Level 1, 2, or 3)We are looking for a qualified journeyman insulator with an IRATA Certification to join our team.As part of our organizational philosophy, we like our field workers to have the full understanding of “heat management” This involves knowing the Insulation aspect and be willing to learn the electrical aspect as well. What we offer is a highly cooperative work environment where professional development, empowerment, open and frank communication and win-win relationships are paramount.Role ResponsibilitiesApply, remove and repair thermal and acoustical insulation (e.g., calcium silicate, glass foam, mineral wool, Styrofoam, fiberglass, armflex) on all types of industrial equipment (e.g. duct piping, heat exchangers, tanks, vessels)Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine insulation requirementsSelect the amount and type of insulation to be installed as well as a method of securing the insulation (e.g., pin welding, wiring, banding, taping) according to the type and shape of surface, whether or not the equipment is cold or hot, inside, or outside, and what the equipment is going to be used forMeasure and cut insulating material and coverings to the required shape and dimension, as well as fitting insulation around obstructions or shape insulation materials and protective coveringsRole requirementsMust be Journeyman InsulatorCSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, and First Aid certifications required.Asbestos experience or certification is considered an asset.Maintain positive relations with clients and coworkers through effective communication conflict management skills.Demonstrated commitment to safety, (personal safety as well as others);Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.Strong time management and organization skills in order to meet various competing deadlines.Ability to work within a team and build a positive team environment.Ability to display sound and accurate judgement.Ability to present a professional image and to encourage subordinates to do the sameIRATA Rope Access Level 1,2,3 an assetPersonal SuitabilityJudgement, Excellent written communication, Organized, Client focus, Excellent oral communication, Team player, Accurate, Flexibility, Effective interpersonal skills, ReliabilitySalary: Minimum $46.50 per hourBenefits:Dental careExtended health carePaid time offVision careSchedule: 10-hour shiftsJob Type: Full-time, PermanentAdditional pay:Overtime payWork Location: In person
