- Own full-cycle accounting and remain actively involved in day-to-day operations
- Deliver timely financial reporting and actionable insights to ownership
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Drive job costing, inventory tracking, and profitability analysis
- Strengthen processes, controls, and financial reporting accuracy
- Manage tax filings, audits, and external relationships
- Hire and mentor an accounting support resource to assist with daily processing
- Proven ability to operate as a hands-on finance leader in a standalone environment
- Strong experience in project-based or operationally complex industries
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks with full-cycle ownership
- Ability to translate detailed financial data into clear, practical insights
- Naturally proactive with a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset
- This organization is not on a bus route – reliable transportation is required
