- Provide ongoing coordination and engaging leadership of all aspects of provincial Settlement Program including annual program planning, quality assurance and evaluation
- Ensure operational excellence in program delivery standards, timelines, and resource allocation, managing client information, activity tracking, fiscal management, communication protocols, security, safety compliance and other operational standards, regulations, and policies
- Provide leadership of consistent program delivery practices and standards and create opportunities and mechanisms for effective collaboration
- Contribute to the development and execution of the program's strategic vision in alignment with organizational and funder Objectives
- Elevate program quality by ensuring successful project delivery, meeting complex deliverables, and achieving intended outcomes.
- Create and maintain a positive work environment for staff, with an emphasis on retention, wellbeing, and support
- Responsible for the recruiting, onboarding, supervision and development of program staff using inclusive hiring and performance management practices
- Proactive development of client and partner informed tools, resources and processes
- Cultivate and maintain effective and professional relationships with partners and networks.
- Represent the organization on appropriate community networks related to service area
- Establish processes for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on program outcomes and service utilization to assess program effectiveness and inform continuous improvement efforts
- Prepare regular narrative and statistical reports for internal and external use to demonstrate program achievements and compliance with required policies and processes
- Develop engaging, relevant resources, training materials, and promotional products
- Ensure accurate and relevant representation of program activities using various mediums and platforms
- Develop and implement new strategies, approaches and initiatives that reflect understanding and identification of emerging gaps, trends and needs
- Foster and cultivate a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture that aligns with the organization's values and mission
- Support and mentor program staff with a strong emphasis on team retention, supporting excellence in service delivery, and ensuring consistent, meaningful engagement with clients
- Relevant education and/or combination of training or experience in human service delivery, settlement service delivery, program management, community development or equivalent
- Minimum 2+ years of progressive experience in staff team leadership, program development, coordination, or delivery of community and client-based programming
- Robust understanding of settlement sector as well as cultural competency in working with diverse newcomer populations - lived newcomer experience is a strong asset
- Experience in assessing needs, providing support services, and coordinating with other organizations or agencies
- Experience in developing, implementing and monitoring operational logistics including expenditures and budget planning
- Demonstrated experience with resource and tool development to support operational effectiveness and program profiling
- Proven ability to effectively lead, coach and motivate diverse staff teams modelling organizational mission and vision
- Strong organizational and program coordination skills, with the ability to design, implement, and evaluate initiatives
- Proven record of meeting contract deliverables and reporting on outcome achievement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in promotion, community outreach and service network development
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to adapt programs based on participant needs and community dynamics
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively write professional program reports
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, ACCESS, Excel, Word, PPT), Teams, and Zoom and the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies required for excellent service delivery
- Access to a reliable transportation method for in-provincial travel
- Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, and Child Abuse Register Check (less than 6 months old), if 18 years of age or older
- Attend Child Safeguarding Training upon hire
