- Hold an MD degree (or equivalent) and a PhD degree;
- Have certification by the Collège des médecins du Québec or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent);
- Must hold or be eligible for licensure to practice medicine in the province of Quebec;
- Have postgraduate clinical training in Neurosurgery (i.e., successfully completed Neurosurgery Residency training, with certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent);
- Have completed Fellowship training in Pediatric Neurosurgery;
- Have completed at least three years of research training in addition to their clinical training;
- Possessing relevant research experience and training in functional neurosurgery and computer-brain interface systems will be considered an asset;
- Have demonstrated success at publishing high-quality peer-reviewed scientific publications and obtaining competitive research grants;
- Bilingual language skills (French and English) are preferred, or a commitment to acquire the necessary language skills to practice medicine in Quebec. Candidates should be able to interact in English and in French with patients, families, and health care professionals.
