- Prepare an annual operating budget, goals and objectives for the Parts Department and monitor the department's performance
- Responsible for onboarding, training and development of Parts Department.
- Coordinate with the Service Manager and the Body Shop Manager to ensure the availability of parts
- Handle all customer complaints in a timely manner.
- Create and maintain a positive relationship with customers and focus on problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Work directly with warranty clerks to administer warranty claims, as well as understanding and applying warranty guidelines.
- Ability to establish and control inventory systems.
- Knowledge of parts pricing procedures.
- Conduct monthly meetings with department employees to discuss activities and problems of mutual interest.
- Report performance goals and achievements on a regular basis.
- Responsible for inspecting each part received for accuracy, proper pricing and damage.
- Perform assigned duties in a safe and responsible manner that does not expose yourself or other employees to unnecessary risk of injury
- Review the previous month's sales/profit to determine where improvements can be made.
- Coordinate with the Service Manager and the Body Shop Manager to ensure the availability of parts.
- Minimum 2 years experience as Parts Manager
- Prior CDK experience a must
- Valid Ontario driver's license and clean drivers abstract.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an engaging attitude.
- Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Ability to manage customer complaints and resolve conflicts.
- Ability to follow standard procedures.
- Flexible and open to change; take on special tasks as needed.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Must be available to work Saturdays as required.
