Start Date: AsapIntentThe client is interested in hiring an experienced functional analyst in its Data Governance
and Reporting team to design and deliver robust reporting and analytical solutions to
drive the clients ongoing evolution in Analytics and Reporting area.As an SAP Analyst, you'll liaise with team members and other stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, including assessing
inefficiencies and areas of improvement in existing reports to deliver improved reports to
support business needs.The Consultant's tasks will include, but not limited to:
- Liaise with the business representatives to gather requirements, specifications, and relative priorities for BI-IP and BW reports.
- Develop BEx queries to meet requirements. This includes developing and maintaining any necessary domains, data elements, characteristics or similar objects in the BW Workbench.
- Liaise with the BW extraction transformation and load (ETL) team to determine the ETL scheduling, monitoring and administration processes so that the clients reporting requirements are met.
- Liaise with the Enterprise Reporting Systems (ERS) team to translate the requirements for Business Objects queries.
- Support financial planning reporting requirement to support the budget cycles.
- Determine and document the required structures of data cubes and master data to meet reporting requirements.
- Trouble shooting, error analysis, and diagnostics of BW ETL, BW and BI-IP issues.
- Configuration of BW Process Chains
- Facilitate integration testing of BW and BI-IP related functional and technical designs and business processes.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing of any BW and BI-IP related project or enhancement.
- Facilitate workshops to train the trainers or end users.
- Transfer knowledge to designated for client resources so that over time the client becomes self-sufficient in the area of BW and BI-IP related business analysis.
- Assign tasks to BW team members & ensure delivery of tasks.
- Coordinate with various technical resources such as the SAP Basis team and the SAP development team to ensure that the technical components function optimally, thus provide a solid and reliable system environment for the project.
- Prototype and perform tasks for enhancements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, including data governance standards.
- Liaise with functional team leads as appropriate.
- Minimum of 8 years' recent experience implementing and supporting enterprise SAP BW in medium to large organizations,
- Five years recent experience in senior-level BW analysis and support.
- Ability to oversee and plan all activities around the management of SAP-BW systems/programs with a focus on service delivery and a proactive outlook
- Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence (BI) is required.
- Proficiency in PowerBI, and Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with SQL, relational databases and python
- Strong communication skills to build professional relationships with business partners across the organization
- Ability to manipulate data with tools, draw conclusions, and relate back to business problems and solutions
- Track record of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Work closely and build strong trust-based relationships with new and existing clients while collaborating with the Spot Solutions team members over the entire life cycle of the project.
- Be highly organized, analytical, naturally collaborative, and the primary advocate for functional area.
- Communicate assignment status in a timely and clear fashion to the appropriate member of the Senior Management of the IT Department and other management, staff and other contractors or consultants involved in related IT assignments, as appropriate to the specific assignment.
- Provide weekly updates on deliverables and impact of proposed changes to timelines.
- Provide formal documentation, in accordance with the PMO methodologies and documentation standards.
- Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to the staff on system set up, configuration and support requirements
