- Answer and respond to phone and email correspondence.
- Accurately enter job requests into scheduling software.
- Follow up with the client if the Dispatch Coordinator needs more details.
- Provide support for multiple traffic brands.
- Coordinate rental equipment with the Rentals Department.
- Coordinate drop-off and pick-up of AFADs with the Rentals Department.
- Coordinate with the client to receive the Traffic Management Plan (TMP).
- Coordinate non-supply cancellations.
- Track and coordinate the waitlist.
- In customer job number, add Premiums, Rentals, and Traffic Management Plan (TMP).
- Review Traffic Management Plans (TMP) to accurately fulfill traffic control requirements.
- Support After Hours Dispatchers, as required.
- Place employees into jobs and communicate necessary information to employees.
- Add premiums to jobs when employees are assigned to them.
- Support last-minute job placement through phone calls and emails when required.
- Provide essential information and correspondence to Area Managers.
- Coordinate with subcontractors for efficient job assignments.
- Receive calls from traffic personnel reporting absences.
- Accurately enter all absence details through the appropriate method.
- Enter vacation details into the Advanced Time Off and Paid Days form accurately, providing support as needed.
- Ensure the proper callback protocol is followed both with employees and via phone.
- Review weekend availability.
- Process time-off requests and sick days after approval from Area Managers.
- Review approved paid days and add corresponding activities.

- Ability to work flexible hours as a casual worker based on business needs (vacation coverage, peak season support, etc.).
- Knowledge of Windows Office Applications including Word and Excel is required.
- Previous customer service and/or traffic control experience is an asset.
- Knowledge and understanding of Traffic Management Plans and the Traffic Control Manual for Work on Roadways developed by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is an asset.
- Strong problem solving and conflict management skills.
- Shifts worked during normal business hours (Monday to Friday from 7am to 5pm) will be in-office. Shifts worked outside of these hours, such as after hour or weekend coverage will be remote.
- Hours worked are are assigned on a causal basis, dependent on business needs and are not guaranteed. You will be providing support during peak periods as well as vacation and sick leave coverage.
