- Manage accounting and financial reporting for both capital and revenue-based projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and maintain financial models in Excel to support project cost analysis and scenario planning.
- Prepare and submit financial claims under Canadian government R& D funding programs, ensuring timely submissions.
- Collaborate with Program Managers to optimize resource allocation and ensure accurate completion of internal timesheets.
- Maintain and update project data in systems such as NetSuite and Adaptive for seamless tracking and reporting.
- Conduct detailed cost reviews to support new project bids and ongoing project evaluations.
- Prepare quarterly purchase order reconciliations and update labour rates and overhead allocations.
- Oversee subcontract invoicing, payment milestones, and project-related business process improvements.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including capitalized development costs and R& D allocations.
- Provide inputs for year-end financial statements and support the annual audit process.
- A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in project accounting or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite and advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset to address project challenges.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in a project environment.
- Knowledge of financial reporting standards and practices, including revenue recognition.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Previous experience in a SaaS environment is considered an asset.
- CPA Designation is a strong asset
