
Building Operator

- In conjunction with the Project Manager and the team, plan and execute responsive and planned maintenance in accordance with contract requirements
- Assist the Project Manager to develop cost estimates for required repairs and minor works projects
- Provide access and operational support to subcontractors performing work on our behalf, verify that required work is completed and report any deficiencies with proposed remedial actions
- Ensure that work order requests and scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PMs) are prioritized and addressed in a timely manner
- Monitor Building Automation System
- Schedule and co-ordinate work activities with other subcontractors
- Perform mechanical rounds and log readings
- Respond to tenant and client requests
- Perform duties such as cleaning, painting, snow removal, HVAC adjustments, filter maintenance, minor plumbing maintenance, general building repair
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Obtain site information for contracts and service agreements
- Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients

- Knowledge of general Building HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Life Safety Systems
- 1-3 years' experience in building operations is an asset
- Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS) / Direct Digital Controls (DDC) an asset
- Trades background with customer service experience - certification (or equivalent) would be considered an asset
- Available for after hours on-call and Emergency call outs on a rotational basis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times with the client, fellow employees and the general public who visit the facility
- Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Excel, Word & Outlook is required
- Strong problem solving skills
