- Lead and manage a team of IT professionals who are responsible for end-to-end infrastructure technology delivery supporting our Wealth and client's Insurance technology business partners, with a clear focus on project planning, scheduling. management, scope, change and issues management, client communication and overall resourcing and financial costs on a longer-term basis.
- Responsible for project delivery for application sets within their scope, commissioning projects to be executed by technology partners.
- Act as a solutions integrator; provide a flexible approach by offering and negotiating options with clients that balance service levels, cost and risk.
- Develop impact assessments, manage delivery schedules, and perform risk assessments to consistently manage project deliveries.
- Work with ITS partners to ensure they comply with the capacity forecasting process.
- Report on project progress, status, overall health and individual applications.
- Assess issues or change requests, determine what to report.
- Lead the development of total cost of ownership estimates for applications and services, monitor and track to the established project budget and plan.
- Measure, monitor projects, stay within budget, and meet or exceed expectations.
- Assess work plans, identify scheduling issues, report and escalate, as needed.
- Track major project deliverables; share updates; support initiatives aimed at cost reduction and faster time-to-market.
- Ensure there's an understanding of operational, reputational, and intellectual risks, advise to minimize, escalate if necessary.
- Know the competition, customer and industry trends, innovation; pinpoint relevant research opportunities.
- Maintain high level of customer service, ensure commitments are met; recommend appropriate actions to enhance service.
- Directs or manages large-scale applications, programs or projects across multiple product lines, involving significant scope and complexity.
- Ensures delivery of projects to the business partner, meeting the approved scope/cost/schedule/quality for the project.
- Perform a governing role for, ensuring that the proposal, execution, control, deployment, training and hand off, warranty support, and closure meet promised schedules.
- Performs risk identification and mitigation activities, escalating unresolved issues to the Executive and/or Steering Committee where appropriate to secure their timely decisions/support.
- Manages the acquisition and deployment of resources, including budget, by working with the Project Managers to secure the resources required for the project.
- Ensures client satisfaction with the project process and project team by effective and timely communication, including status reporting, continual risk/issue assessment/management and escalation, and resolution of issues as they arise.
- The successful candidate will be required to work with and influence senior-level leaders and partner with other IT Managers.
- 8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master
- Expertise in MS Project, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
- Very strong communication skills, relationship-building skills (giving timely updates, working with stakeholders, etc.)
- Team player
- Strong interpersonal skills
- PMI or ITIL certification, Safe6, scale, agile certs
- Technical experience with infrastructure projects - including cloud technology deployments
- Knowledge of the insurance industry or wealth management
