- OPEX Analysis: Analyze operational expenditures and identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Reporting: Develop and present financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs related to OPEX management to senior management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, particularly in Strategic Customer, Research & Development, and Health Economics & Medical Affairs, to gather data, understand operational needs, and support financial decision-making.
- Cost Control: Implement and monitor cost control initiatives to optimize spending and enhance profitability.
- Financial Modeling: Create financial models to assess the impact of strategic initiatives and operational changes.
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Provide analytical support for various projects and conduct ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.
- Expertise in OPEX Systems: Act as a subject matter expert on OPEX systems, providing guidance and insights to optimize usage and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or professional certification (CFA, CPA, etc.) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, budget management, or related areas, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Previous experience partnering with strategic business units such as R&D and customer operations is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
