Our mission is to create sustainable and essential infrastructure that fosters growth, development, and safety for communities across Canada.The Opportunity: Accounting TechnicianRapid-Span is seeking a detail-driven, adaptable Accounting Technician to support a range of accounting responsibilities in a collaborative, cross-trained finance team. This role offers the chance to build hands-on expertise in payroll, accounts payable, reporting, and—with time and support—accounts receivable.You’ll join a team that values accuracy, reliability, and continuous improvement. This is an on-site role with no hybrid or remote option.Location: Our office in the Spallumcheen, BC Industrial Park.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess bi-weekly payroll using ClarityBack up accounts payable: invoice entry, coding, vendor communication, and payment preparationPrepare internal financial reports and recurring reconciliationsAssist with automation and improvements to time and attendance and AP systemsLearn and support accounts receivable processes over timeProvide general accounting support and collaborate with team members on shared responsibilitiesIdentify ways to streamline data entry and reportingEnsure timely remittances, filings, and completion of month-end and year-end tasksProvide back-up support for other admin and finance team members as neededQualifications2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, including payroll and APExperience with Clarity or D365 is an asset, but not required—we’re happy to train the right personSolid understanding of accounting fundamentals and eagerness to learn new systemsComfortable working in a multi-system environment, especially during process transitionsHigh level of accuracy, dependability, and attention to detailA self-starter with a collaborative mindset and a drive to make things more efficientStrong communication skills and the ability to contribute positively to a close-knit teamComfortable in a fully on-site work settingIf you’re looking for a stable, long-term accounting opportunity where you can grow, be valued, and help shape better systems, we’d love to hear from you!
