You will contribute to the automation of infrastructure changes, performance optimization, and the evolution of our next-generation architectures, working closely with the development teams. Your role is key to ensuring data reliability and the adoption of best practices in data management at Croesus.As a member of the Data team, you will contribute to both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic initiatives related to the evolution of our databases and data platforms. You will also help develop solutions for extracting, processing, transforming, and deleting large volumes of data. This role is central to the evolution of next-generation application and data platforms for Croesus and our portfolio management users.What you will do:
  • Design, operate, and optimize database services.
  • Automate infrastructure (provisioning, configuration, scaling) via Infrastructure as Code (Github Workflow).
  • Define and implement backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Ensure high availability and performance of data systems in production (monitoring, query/index optimization, fault tolerance).
  • Apply best practices in security and compliance (anonymization, masking, secret management).
  • Identify and continuously improve reliability, scalability, and cost optimization.
  • Act as an escalation resource during production incidents.
RequirementsYour strengths:
  • Passion for managing and developing data transformation tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience using Linux systems.
  • Expertise with various databases (Sybase, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
  • Experience with automation and scripting (Python, Bash, Airflow).
Education and experience:
  • Degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in database administration, SRE, or data integration.
