The successful applicant will be expected to strive for teaching excellence, which may include pedagogical research. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching within the Mathematics for Science and Industry Program and Integrated Mathematics and Computer Science Program, which aim to provide students with experiential, active, and knowledge-based learning experiences across a broad range of mathematical disciplines, with particular strength in applied mathematics and its interdisciplinary applications.Teaching responsibilities will include the design and delivery of undergraduate lecture-based courses in Mathematics, particularly at the first- and second-year level (e.g., calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, and introductory statistics), along with upper-year courses in applied mathematics depending on the candidate's expertise (e.g., mathematical modelling, dynamical systems, scientific computing, or data-driven applications). Experience teaching large, multi-section courses and coordinating course delivery would be considered an asset.The successful candidate will contribute to the growth, development, and outreach efforts of Faculty of Science programs by participating on governance committees, supporting curriculum development, and engaging in initiatives that promote student success and inclusive excellence. The candidate is expected to have skills in the integration of technology into teaching and to model those skills in their own teaching in the university's web-centric and mobile learning environment.The successful candidate will demonstrate:
A strong commitment to evidence-based and engaging teaching practices in Mathematics, particularly in applied mathematics contexts
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse student body
Experience or potential in supervising undergraduate thesis or project-based work, particularly within Mathematics and Integrated Mathematics and Computer Science programs (considered an asset)
Ability to connect mathematical theory with real-world applications and interdisciplinary contexts
Required Education:
Master's degree in Mathematics or a closely related field

Required/Preferred Experience:
Demonstrated experience teaching Mathematics at the undergraduate level
