Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Sponsorship Activation Specialist to join our team at TD Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario. This role is responsible for managing and executing sponsorship deliverables across a diverse event calendar, including concerts and AHL hockey, while supporting the operational needs of the sponsorship activation department.The Sponsorship Activation Specialist will ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled and play a key role in creating seamless, high-impact partner experiences across both live entertainment and sports properties. The ideal candidate is proactive, client-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where collaboration, organization, and problem-solving are essential.This role pays an annual salary of $60,000-$70,000 CAD.Benefits for Full-Time roles: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, Pension matching, and Paid Time Off (vacation days, sick days, and statutory holidays).This position will remain open until July 3, 2026. Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day sponsor activation needs.
  • Manage and execute sponsorship deliverables across concerts and AHL hockey events, ensuring all contractual elements are fulfilled.
  • Coordinate and adapt partner activations based on event type, ensuring seamless execution across both live entertainment and sports environments.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (marketing, creative, operations, events, hockey operations, etc.) to ensure sponsor activations are integrated smoothly.
  • Track, monitor, and report on deliverable status, timelines, and performance metrics across multiple event types.
  • Develop activation recaps and reporting decks that demonstrate ROI and highlight partnership successes across concerts and hockey programming.
  • Support the planning and execution of on-site activations, including event setup, staffing coordination, and client hospitality.
  • Assist in developing creative activation concepts tailored to both concert and hockey audiences.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance sponsor visibility and engagement across different event formats and maximize renewal potential.
  • Coordinate internal timelines and follow-ups to ensure activation milestones are met across all events.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and capturing notes/action items related to sponsorship programs.
  • Support departmental tracking of sponsor assets, approvals, and inventory across multiple properties.
  • Maintain internal reporting systems and shared resources for activation planning.
  • Assist with budgeting coordination, expense tracking, and vendor documentation as needed.
  • Provide logistical support for partner meetings, events, and internal planning sessions.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping to support sponsorship billing and reporting processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Sports/Entertainment Management, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in sponsorship activation, partnership marketing, event coordination, or related roles.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously across different event types.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-first mindset.
  • Experience creating professional presentations, reports, and organized tracking systems.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage documentation and workflows efficiently.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with changing priorities.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed for events.
