This position ensures the best customer service through efficiency and dedication.FULL-TIME CLASS 1 DRIVER – Merritt, BCUPS is currently looking for Full-Time Class 1 Drivers (Tractor-Trailer Operations) to work based in Merritt, BC.In this role, you will operate tractor-trailers to transport cargo to designated locations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries. Your responsibilities will include adhering to all traffic and safety regulations, conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and reliability.UPS is committed to your professional growth.   • Position: Full-Time Class 1 Driver (Tractor-Trailer Operations)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday*
  • Scheduled Shift: varies based on operational requirements*
  • Feeder Dispatch Home Station: Merritt, BC
*Schedules are based on operational requirements. Shift hours will slightly vary and will be subject to change.On a daily basis, UPS Feeder Drivers are to complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on their assigned vehicle. They should be comfortable using road maps and other trip planning aids and be able to complete their assignments daily.Responsibilities:
  • Drive UPS tractor and trailers safely;
  • Follow and execute UPS defensive driving methods;
  • Provide outstanding customer service and complete assigned tasks within specified time;
  • Adhere to and comply with applicable federal, provincial and state laws, regulations and/or agency rules;
  • Maintain the cleanliness of assigned UPS road equipment;
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Excellent Customer Service & Verbal Communications skills;
  • Must possess a valid BC Class 1 Driver’s License;
  • Must have a clean Driver's Abstract;
  • Able to occasionally lift, up to 70-lbs (32-kg) unassisted;
