How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?The main object and purpose of this position is to manage staff with respect to equipment preventative, corrective and facility maintenance. Keeping a focus on uptime and EIS management , all while promoting ALC’s quality and safety objectives.Overall responsibility and management of the facility. The role will report to the Northeast Region Operations Manager. Core duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:Management of employeesHiring, coaching, training, safety & disciplineEmployee DevelopmentManagement and review of associates expenseTime keeping and approvalLeave of absencesManagement of day to day operationsOutbound delivery schedulesInbound product supplyPlant and vehicle maintenanceOverall financial management for the plantIndepth monthly P&L analysisAirgas Dashboard & Plant KPI reviewsCreating continuous flow of plant efficienciesAssist in budgeting budget planning and capital project planning.Management of safety and efficient plant operations.Creating a culture of safe work environmentLead safety meetings at the facilityResponsibility for Quality AssuranceMaintaining, reviewing and creating SOP’sPSM/RMP managementResponsible for Lockout Tag and EC&IP’s.Responsibility of Health and Safety management of the facilityResponsibility and review of TDG Hours of ServiceEfficiently distribute driver hours minimizing overtimeProject managementInitiating projects, Retaining estimates, scheduling contractors, contractor safety, invoice submitting, etcCollaboration with engineeringInteract with Fleet Manager and Premier Fleet ServiceMaintain Fleet MaintenanceManage associate expenses to stay within company policyAre you a MATCH?To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.6+ years professional work experience including a supervisory role.Bachelor Degree required or equivalent experienceKnowledge of Safety and Regulatory Compliance Including TDG & Ministry of Environment.Experience with hazardous material with knowledge in hazmat regulations.Knowledge of industrial chemical distribution or logistics including inventory management preferred.Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Google platform including experience with Sheets.Good oral and writing skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
