About the Opportunity
  • Responsible for full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
  • Process bi-weekly payroll, including adjustments, remittances, year-end reporting, and payroll-related journal entries
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with employment standards and applicable agreements
  • Manage accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, payment processing, and vendor support
  • Oversee accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment application, aging reports, and reconciliations
  • Administer resident trust accounts in accordance with regulatory requirements, including deposits, withdrawals, and monthly reconciliations
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals, schedules, and variance analysis
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation, and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Maintain strong internal controls, documentation, and compliance standards
  • Support process improvements and contribute to special projects as required
About You
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) certification or working toward (asset)
  • Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP or similar) considered an asset
  • Familiarity with unionized environments and collective agreements is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
