- Review, analyze, and validate subcontractor cost submissions for accuracy and compliance with T&M contract terms.
- Ensure claimed labor hours, equipment rates, and material costs are in line with contractual entitlements.
- Verify support documentation such as timesheets, invoices, purchase orders, and equipment logs.
- Monitor and track committed and actual costs against budgets.
- Prepare cost variance analyses and report on cost trends and deviations.
- Work closely with project managers and procurement teams to maintain financial transparency.
- Ensure subcontractor invoices align with contractual requirements including rate schedules, mark-ups, and reimbursable terms.
- Support audits and cost reconciliations as needed.
- Assist in change order evaluations and negotiation support from a cost perspective.
- Prepare regular cost reports and summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support project controls and finance teams with detailed cost insights.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and professionally to project stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Quantity Surveying or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cost engineering or quantity surveying with a strong focus on subcontractor cost reviews under T&M contracts.
- Solid understanding of Canadian construction cost norms and contract structures.
- Familiarity with labor agreements, equipment rate books, and typical T&M claim components.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with cost management systems (e.g., SAP, Prism, or similar) is an asset.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience working with large multi-disciplinary teams and contractors in a multicultural environment is an asset.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and change priorities within tight time frames.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Expertise with a variety of computer programs (e.g., Office 365, MS teams, MS Visio, MS Projects, Teams, Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign etc.)
- Motivated and willing to take ownership of tasks.
- Energetic in pursuit of continuous improvement processes.
- Shares knowledge readily and encourages personal development.
- A valid driver’s license and passport.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- The position is based in Vancouver Office in with a visit to the Site Project as required.
