Summary:You will work closely with the Visitor Services Manager to ensure employee productivity, engagement, and guest satisfaction are maximized. You will promote and encourage interdepartmental cooperation and communication to ensure customer service and the overall guest experience remain at an exceptional standard year-round.As a core Supervisor, you will provide consistent leadership, operational oversight, and frontline decision-making support for the Visitor Services team.Job Description:You will:
  • Carry out administrative tasks to ensure effective and efficient management of the Visitor Services team.
  • Provide day-to-day, hands-on supervision for Visitor Services Agents, including assisting the Manager with recruitment, scheduling, staff orientation, training, supervision, and task delegation.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship and open lines of communication with other Resort departments to ensure high levels of guest and employee satisfaction.
  • Be responsible for the smooth daily operation of the Visitor Services desks, assisting agents in meeting guest needs and resolving issues effectively.
  • Greet and assist guests in a manner that models exemplary conduct, professionalism, and enthusiasm for the resort experience.
  • Respond to guest complaints, feedback, and inquiries through ZOHO in a timely and professional manner.
  • Actively promote and support the mission, vision, and core values of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort.
  • Assist Visitor Services Agents with selling and promoting all KHMR/RCR products and services.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels in the absence of the Visitor Services Manager, based on visitation trends and budget guidelines.
  • Monitor and update employee payroll information through ADP Workforce.
  • Assist the Manager with the development and ongoing improvement of departmental training manuals.
  • Be proactive in reviewing, updating, and improving department procedures and guidelines.
  • Monitor daily sales activity and audit transactions and cash-outs to ensure accuracy; assist with transaction corrections as required.
  • Assist the Manager in authorizing and validating customer return and refund requests in accordance with policy.
  • Support the distribution of up-to-date in-resort marketing materials to departments and partners.
  • Comply with and promote all safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment and assist with keeping the department aligned with OH&S standards.
  • Assist with other duties as required.
You:
  • Have a minimum 2 years previous experience in a customer service, or retail supervisory role.
  • Are proficient and fluent in Microsoft Windows and Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Have previous experience using POS systems - an asset.
  • Have previous experience in the resort, tourism, hotel, or recreation industry - an asset.
  • Hold a post-secondary diploma, certificate, or degree in Sales, Business, Commerce, or related field - an asset.
  • Have previous experience in a mountain or resort setting - an asset.
  • Are an enthusiastic skier or snowboarder with a genuine passion for the mountain environment
  • Are able to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
  • Are able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Additional languages an asset.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive salary: $44,928.00 - $49,920.00/year, dependent on experience
