We link external supplier capabilities with internal business needs and requirements through the development and execution of sourcing and supplier strategies. We ensure internal stakeholders have access to reliable and relevant supplier, sourcing, and procurement information and provide a center of best practices for managing supplier relationships and monitoring supplier performance.Story Behind the Need:
The position will be responsible for supporting a strategic transformation workstream as well as other projects as required.Typical Day in Role:
- Leading supplier contract renewal negotiations.
- Proactively working with Business Line contract owners to understand business needs.
- Build renewal strategy for pipeline of contract renewals.
- Build an overall supplier contract strategy with consideration for consolidation and reduction of contracts where opportunity exists.
- Minimum of 10+ years progressive sourcing experience
- Ability to comprehend complex technical, contract and financial issues and use them to inform the creation of effective supplier strategies.
- Ability to impact and influence stakeholders, including Senior Executives.
- Deep knowledge and experience with IT contracting.
- Previous financial services experience is preferred
- Knowledgeable in financial services and regulations (e.g., OSFI, OCC, CFPB, UDAAP) and how they are applied to Third Party relationships is preferred
- CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) preferred
- Global sourcing experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders, translating complex information into clear insights

Bachelor’s degree in management, business, or related field; master (MA or MSc) in business or related field an assetBest VS. Average Candidate:
