Marie to Sudbury and Ottawa). The primary focus is to develop new relationships with key industry stakeholders. A major measure of success through these engagements will include strategic revenue growth through retention of major accounts and acquisition of new key accounts.Specific Responsibilities:Obtain and report on intel related to local marketReporting on new opportunities and recommending/executing agreed win strategiesPrepare and provide quotations as requested by existing and potential clientsDevelop and target a list of local clients with high revenue potentialAttend and potentially speak at trade shows, networking events, and industry eventsLead, organize, and/or participate in ALS-hosted client presentations, seminars, and workshopsAddress account related issues with urgencyWork with management on response to RFPsParticipate in projects related to development of national accountsProactively plan and perform client visits and business development activities at target accountsWork with internal teams to promote client service excellenceRequired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Strong business development skills and adept at building relationshipsExcellent English communication skills, both verbal and writtenHighly motivated, an independent thinker and able to work as part of a teamStrong skills in grasping technical conceptsDemonstrated judgement, creativity, integrity, and ability to problem solveA strong orientation towards high level of care and serviceAble to effectively balance multiple prioritiesAbility to effectively handle escalations and time critical issuesEnergetic self-starter capable of working independently;Required Qualifications:Seeking 5 years of experience in a competitive and fast-paced environmentSeeking 5 years of experience client service, business development and/or sales rolesA science background (college, university) or equivalent gained through experience in a related fieldAn existing industry network may be a differentiatorAbility to travel throughout the assigned regionPhysical Demands:Manual dexterity to perform intricate and/or repetitive tasks such as data entryAbility to use and view a computer screen for up to 8 hours per dayAbility to sit at a desk and do general office work, which includes periodic sedentary responsibilitiesWorking at ALSThe ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.Our values are important to us, and shape how we work, how we treat each other and how we recognise excellence.At ALS, you’ll be supported to develop new skills and reach your full potential.
