Our client services customers in a variety of markets, including Ports and Terminals, Industrial (Metals, Paper, Chemical, Mining), General Industry (Automotive, Manufacturing), Utility (Power Plants, Water and Wastewater), Marine, Oil and Gas, Mining, and others. Some of our customers operate in remote locations, so periodic travel may be required.This individual will be a key member of the Engineering Support Team and will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks ranging from troubleshooting, field engineering, controls equipment repairs, design engineering, HMI adjustments, and control system programming . Work will cover a variety of electrical, control, and drive systems across a wide range of industries.Some of tasks performed in project delivery are as follows:PLC programming on various manufacturer hardware such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, ABB, GE or ModiconHMI Development on platforms such as: Factory Talk View, Wonderware or IgnitionVFD troubleshooting and repairsOn-site troubleshootingWork in a fast paced environment under pressure to quickly solve problemsInterfacing with customers and explaining technical workSmall changes to existing electrical design of industrial facilitiesNetworkingInterfacing with databases and commercial IT systemsCommissioning and start-upLong-term support and serviceAs part of the team you will also:Plan, organize, lead, participate in and system maintenance, PM kits, troubleshooting many small quick projectsBe in an on-call rotation with a group of other support engineers to ensure clients are kept running 24/7Demonstrate thorough understanding of customer and supplier contractual commitments, ensuring projects are delivered in a safe manner and that our customer and business commitments are met or exceededSupport the Commercial team in identifying and quoting new opportunitiesOccasionally assist in the development of job cost estimates and attend critical customer meetings, as neededActively participate in EHS and develop a thorough understanding of ESG’s EHS Policies and ProceduresConduct work activities in a compliant manner, adhering to the highest level of personal safetyDevelop and expand technical knowledge and expertise through continued, employer sponsored training and developmentUnderstand critical industry standardsUtilize internal systems to complete all administrative duties in a timely manner, such as, but not limited to:Scheduling, timesheets, expense processing, fleet vehicle reporting, purchase order and/or requisition creation and processing, etc.RequirementsWhat you will need to be successful in this role:Bachelor's Degree in an Electrical Engineering discipline from an accredited university or college, or a Technologist Diploma in a relevant specialty such as industrial controls, power or robotics or relevant industry experiencePLC programming experienceElectrical engineering and design skillsExperience working with ABB and Rockwell drivesComputer literacy with the adaptability to learn new software packages
