- Assist as required with the day-to-day Warehousing activities in support of the Victoria In-Service Support Contract (VISSC).
- Complete material management activities including handling, shipping, issuing, receiving and warehousing.
- Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as propane and electric forklifts, and hand-held power tool operation.
- Complete inventory management, including annual stock taking and verification.
- Assist in workload planning.
- Participate in data entry and report generation in Babcock's ERP System.
- Organize storage areas and participate in stock taking.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe environment by complying with relevant company policies and procedures.
- Complete other duties as necessary.
- 1-3 years experience in a warehouse environment in a similar role.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Flexible for work hours; the successful individual may be required to work early mornings, late afternoons, and on-call weekends.
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Organizational and time management skills; attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in the following areas:
- Receive, store, issue, transport, and distribute material
- Data entry
- Warehousing, stock control, and inventory management
- Control of Documentation
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (such as IFS)
- Department of National Defence (DND) supply chain processes and Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS) (strong asset)
- Operation of MHE (Manual Handling Equipment), such as pallet jacks, forklifts, etc. (An asset - additional training will be provided)
- Workplace Hazardous Management Information Systems (WHMIS) (an asset - annual training is provided)
- Supply Chain/logistics certification is considered an asset.
- Eligibility for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
