Apply today!Looking to get the most out of your upcoming internship?Hatch is seeking a Junior Piping Designer Student with an interest in Mining and Metals for a 12-month internship starting January 2026. Reporting to HPM Piping Design Lead, you will support projects globally, working from our Mississauga Head Office.The High-Pressure Metallurgy Group is part of the Base Metals division within Hatch. The group is responsible for the design, construction and commissioning of autoclaves used globally for the recovery of minerals such as gold, nickel, uranium, and other precious metals.What Will an Internship at Hatch Offer You:You will:

  • Development of 3D models in an integrated CAD environment
  • Preparation of and updates to project deliverables including Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping & Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID) and pipe isometric drawings
  • General Arrangement drawings of piping and plant layouts
  • Development of piping and plant layouts for various industrial processes
You bring to the role:
  • Enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering Technology program at an accredited College
  • Strong academic record
  • Interest in mining/metals industry

  • Good understanding of engineering and business fundamentals as they apply to engineering problems and projects
