- Lead and manage the finance team, including direct oversight of accounting control and FP&A functions.
- Build and enforce strong controllership: ensure accurate month-end closing, clean financial statements, and consistent accounting across jurisdictions.
- Own the migration from multiple legacy accounting systems into a unified ERP ensuring data integrity, clear processes, and timely implementation.
- Develop and maintain standardized policies and controls covering revenue recognition, cash flow, inter-company transactions, and segregation of duties.
- Deliver timely, reliable financial results each month and quarter, providing variance analysis and actionable insight to senior leadership.
- Partner with business unit leaders to drive budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning - supporting new product launches, pricing strategies, expansion, and cost control.
- Manage global reporting requirements including consolidated reporting to corporate finance and support treasury, FX, and cash flow forecasting.
- Support/guidance on procurement, compliance, payroll and indirect operational costs as needed, aligning with broader Canadian operations.
- Serve as a financial business partner - challenge assumptions, highlight risks, and guide investment decisions to align with growth targets and private equity expectations.
- Collaborate with global finance, technology, and operational teams to deliver integrated and scalable finance operations.
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional accounting designation.
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive finance experience - including both controllership (accounting, month-end close) and strategic FP&A/commercial finance.
- Proven track record in a fast-changing, multi-entity, international business - ideally in software / SaaS or tech-enabled services.
- Experience leading an ERP implementation or major accounting system migration
- Strong process and control mindset: able to standardize systems, establish policies, and deliver month-end reliably under pressure.
- Excellent analytical skills and commercial acumen - able to interpret numbers and turn them into business insights, budgets, forecasts and action plans.
- Comfortable working across time zones, liaising with teams across Canada, U.S., and Europe
- Strong leadership and communication skills, comfortable pushing back when needed, and guiding teams through change with clarity and authority.
- Self-starter attitude, willing to roll up sleeves during transition periods and set the foundation for scalable growth.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
