Job description, responsibilities and dutiesWe are looking for an experienced professional to lead and coordinate aircraft base maintenance activities. AsBase Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for supervising on-site teams, managing external MRO contractors, and collaborating with OEMs and internal departments to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality maintenance execution.Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and direct on-site representatives and maintenance personnel during base maintenance events.
  • Plan and allocate work schedules, tasks, and resources for base maintenance.
  • Ensure all work complies with regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
  • Communicate and coordinate with authorities, aircraft manufacturers, and external parties.
  • Organize and oversee tender procedures and contracts in cooperation with the Legal Department.
  • Coordinate with IOCC and other teams to minimize aircraft downtime and maximize cost efficiency.
  • Plan budgets, monitor costs, and approve final invoices.
  • Identify risks and implement corrective actions to ensure smooth maintenance operations.
  • Support and guide on-site representatives and provide training as needed.

Personality requirements and skillsMinimum 5 years of experience in civil aviation.Previous hands-on aircraft maintenance experience, preferably with a heavy maintenance background.Knowledge of EU management system requirements, including safety management and compliance monitoring.Strong decision-making skills and accountability.Ability to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.Proactive, problem-solving mindset with professionalism.Team player capable of collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.Language skillsEnglish - Advanced (C1)Other knowledgeMicrosoft Word - Skillful
