Assembly Supervisor: TIMBERLAND EQUIPMENT LIMITED

• Follow company planning system for production scheduling
• Prepare work schedules, make work assignments for employees and sets work deadlines
• Inspect work in progress and completed to ensure conformance to specifications and adherence to quality standards
• Collaboration with engineering department through design and assembly process
• Issue purchase requisitions for materials and parts necessary to perform work
• Maintain ISO-9001 Standards as they relate to manufacturing
• Attend weekly production meetings and reports on work in progress
• Support the Manufacturing Manager in the development of sales proposals by providing labour estimates for the assembly department
• Take regular measures (including customer feedback) to ensure awareness of the quality of, and attitude towards, work which is performed by direct reports, in order to fairly judge their capabilities
• Ensure compliance with the OHSA legislation
• Participate in development and implementation of programs to protect employees' safety and health

• Previous experience within a manufacturer of heavy equipment with leadership responsibilities
• Effective leadership and team-building skills
• Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize, and effectively manage assignments
• Journeyperson/licensed in a relevant skilled trade, or equivalent experience
• Detail-oriented and self-directed in execution of tasks
• Proven sense of urgency in completing tasks
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulics and electrical design and components
