Assembly Supervisor: TIMBERLAND EQUIPMENT LIMITED

- Follow company planning system for production scheduling
- Prepare work schedules, make work assignments for employees and sets work deadlines
- Inspect work in progress and completed to ensure conformance to specifications and adherence to quality standards
- Collaboration with engineering department through design and assembly process
- Issue purchase requisitions for materials and parts necessary to perform work
- Maintain ISO-9001 Standards as they relate to manufacturing
- Attend weekly production meetings and reports on work in progress
- Support the Manufacturing Manager in the development of sales proposals by providing labour estimates for the assembly department
- Take regular measures (including customer feedback) to ensure awareness of the quality of, and attitude towards, work which is performed by direct reports, in order to fairly judge their capabilities
- Ensure compliance with the OHSA legislation
- Participate in development and implementation of programs to protect employees' safety and health
- Previous experience within a manufacturer of heavy equipment with leadership responsibilities
- Effective leadership and team-building skills
- Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize, and effectively manage assignments
- Journeyperson/licensed in a relevant skilled trade, or equivalent experience
- Detail-oriented and self-directed in execution of tasks
- Proven sense of urgency in completing tasks
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulics and electrical design and components
