FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT – RE/INSURANCE – BERMUDA – 10% TAX – HR337About this opportunityOur client is currently seeking candidates for the position of Financial Accountant. This role is responsible for several processes supporting the Company's non-technical accounts and treasury management. The initial focus will be on processing, recording and reconciling banking records, managing liquidity and aiding the financial accounting function. Main responsibilities include preparing weekly set-up of non-technical expenses and technical claims payments, maintaining cashbooks, daily monitoring of liquidity in multiple currencies, and preparing quarterly investment reconciliations.What you'll need
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or equivalent
  • Professional accounting designation such as CA, CPA or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience, external audit, re/insurance and/or investment accounting experience strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge in the use of computer applications such as Excel and Power Query and financial based accounting and IT packages (SAP)
  • Strong analytical skills and great attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to work outside office hours when required
