This is a site-based role on various project sites across the Lower Mainland, BC, and Western Canada. Compensation will reflect factors such as work location and any applicable shift schedules.Your responsibilities
- Manage time, cost, quality, risks and financial performance of assigned scope.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the assigned scope of the design-build process, in collaboration with user groups, engineers, architects, and vendors
- Develop, review, and provide feedback on project schedules.
- Assemble submittals and other project documentation (including technical, safety, environmental, QA/QC, insurance, bonding, permits, etc.)
- Purchase materials and equipment ensuring delivery on schedule
- Estimate changes to scope and value engineering options
- Collaborate with construction team to plan, monitor, and manage labor requirements
- Lead, manage, and mentor assigned Junior Project Managers or Project Coordinators to ensure their development
- Work with the Safety Manager, foreman, and superintendent to ensure safety on site is the #1 priority
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Minimum 7 years of construction project management experience
- Demonstrated experience as the lead project manager leading a minimum of two projects with contract values of over $7 million is required
- Understanding of project financial reporting and contract law
- Experience creating, monitoring and updating project schedules
- Experience estimating projects and/or changes
- Experience with Electrical and/or Technology scopes within buildings is preferred
- Project Management training or certification. PMP, an asset
- Electrical certification or degree in Electrical Engineering is an asset
