Apply now to work on one of the next major hospital projects in Western Canada and make a meaningful impact.Reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager, you will join the Major Projects team building some of the most meaningful and needed multi-year Hospital projects in British Columbia. These projects range from $30 - $400 million with a typical duration of 3 to 7 years.This role is best suited for those with strong project management and leadership skills who want to make an impact. You'll be part of a progressive and supportive environment that fosters high performance and continuous development, enabling individuals and teams to grow meaningfully while meeting or exceeding project deliverables.Location
This is a site-based role on various project sites across the Lower Mainland, BC, and Western Canada. Compensation will reflect factors such as work location and any applicable shift schedules.Your responsibilities
  • Manage time, cost, quality, risks and financial performance of assigned scope.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the assigned scope of the design-build process, in collaboration with user groups, engineers, architects, and vendors
  • Develop, review, and provide feedback on project schedules.
  • Assemble submittals and other project documentation (including technical, safety, environmental, QA/QC, insurance, bonding, permits, etc.)
  • Purchase materials and equipment ensuring delivery on schedule
  • Estimate changes to scope and value engineering options
  • Collaborate with construction team to plan, monitor, and manage labor requirements
  • Lead, manage, and mentor assigned Junior Project Managers or Project Coordinators to ensure their development
  • Work with the Safety Manager, foreman, and superintendent to ensure safety on site is the #1 priority
Your experience and skills
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Minimum 7 years of construction project management experience
  • Demonstrated experience as the lead project manager leading a minimum of two projects with contract values of over $7 million is required
  • Understanding of project financial reporting and contract law
  • Experience creating, monitoring and updating project schedules
  • Experience estimating projects and/or changes
  • Experience with Electrical and/or Technology scopes within buildings is preferred
  • Project Management training or certification. PMP, an asset
  • Electrical certification or degree in Electrical Engineering is an asset

Salary range: $95,000-$120,000 per year plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will be commensurate with location, shift schedules, experience, skills and overall match to the position offered.
