There are no inmates on site at any time. Civeo Premium associates do not have any interaction with, nor access to, inmates.We are seeking a Meal Assembly Supervisor to support daily operations by providing direct leadership to front-line associates in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment. Reporting to the Meal Assembly Manager, this role is responsible for monitoring productivity and staffing levels while working closely with Production teams to ensure sufficient product availability.The Meal Assembly Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining food quality, operational efficiency, and a safe, well-organized workplace. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong food safety knowledge, prior supervisory experience, and a commitment to quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.*Please note: This is a Temporary one-year contract positionResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate daily meal tray assembly and bulk food operationsEnsure meals are assembled accurately and safely in accordance with menu, diet, food safety, and Ministry requirementsMonitor productivity, staffing levels, and workflow to meet meal-day targets and cost objectivesCollaborate closely with Production teams to ensure adequate product availability for trayingLead, coach, and support front-line Meal Assembly associates; ensure staff are trained and competentProvide ongoing performance feedback, conduct evaluations, and address attendance and performance issuesConduct daily team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and performance resultsEnforce HACCP, food safety, and Civeo Quality Assurance standards, including audits and corrective actionsEnsure compliance with Health & Safety requirements, including OHSA, WHMIS, and PPE usageMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment; report and participate in incident investigationsDemonstrate working knowledge of Ministry procedures and protocolsParticipate in training, meetings, and continuous improvement initiativesPerform physical duties as required, including working in cold environments, prolonged standing, and lifting up to 25 lbsPerform additional duties as assigned to support operational needsQualificationsFood and Nutrition Services Diploma from an approved Community College or equivalent education and experiencePrevious supervisory experience in food service, healthcare, institutional, or production environmentsPrior experience in meal assembly or food production considered an assetAdvanced Food Safety Training (FST) certification requiredStrong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and quality assurance practicesProficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop front-line staffExperience working in a unionized environment preferredStrong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skillsExcellent written and verbal English communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively as part of a management team across shiftsDemonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced production environmentPositive, professional attitude with a strong customer-service focusSuccessful completion of a vulnerable sector check, criminal record check, and any other required security clearancesWhat we offerComprehensive benefits package, which includes dental, vision, life insurance, and extended health coverageHealth or Personal Spending AccountEmployee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP)RRSP/DPSP Match ProgramProfessional DevelopmentSalary Starting at: $49,000.00 annuallyWe are dedicated to employment equity and continuously strive to enhance our diversity and inclusion practices, fostering a respectful and collaborative workforce.
