As a Cleanout Specialist, you will assist the Vacuum Truck Operator in safely and efficiently performing cleanout operations at wastewater facilities and related sites.You will:
- Assist in setting up sites, including vacuum hoses, pumps, and safety equipment;
- Clean confined spaces such as wastewater holding tanks, pump stations, and other treatment or processing tanks;
- Support the Supervisor with documentation, including Confined Space Entry Permits, Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports, and other required paperwork;
- Drive company pickup trucks and safety trailers to job sites across Ontario, including overnight or out-of-town assignments with paid accommodation;
- Promote and maintain a safe and clean work environment;
- Work in tight, confined spaces, and in dusty, wet, or noisy conditions;
- Work extended shifts during the peak season, participate in on-call rotation for emergency response, and adjust to varying schedules, including night shifts;
- Work in both indoor and outdoor environments year-round.
- Valid G or G2 driver’s license with a good driving record
- Ability to assist with minor mechanical repairs
- Experience with Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry and Rescue, and prior wastewater industry experience is an asset
- Familiarity with hydraulic pumps, water pumps, and associated equipment is considered valuable
- Competitive wages starting at $22/hour;
- Potential to earn $60,000–$80,000 annually, including shift premiums and overtime;
- Full-time, year-round work (50–60 hours per week);
