  • Member of a team that designs and delivers ABB’s portfolio of Automation solutions which in-cludes devices, systems, and services.
  • Technical lead for all engineering disciplines on Automation Project. Interacts and coordinates with customers (Engineering, Operation, IT, etc…), contractors, and others. Attends project meetings and presents all technical aspects of project assignments. Works with the customer to shape and deliver automation solutions.
  • Define project tasks and ensures allocation of these tasks to project team members and 3rd party resources specifying relevant schedule, cost and quality metrics related to automation scope.
  • Support Sales for engineering projects or programs through coordination of proposal drawings, bills of materials, 3rd party contractors and estimated engineering hours for all engineering disci-plines.
  • Lead the engineering activities required to develop PCS application programming, system architec-ture, hardware and 3rd party connectivity and factory acceptance. and installation/commissioning.
  • Lead project installation, commissioning and site activities clarifying potential issues or providing solutions to correct engineering errors. Provides technical support to the commissioning and start-up.
  • Travel to customer facilities and offices to support projects and sales.
Your background
  • University Degree in engineering or equivalent
  • 10 years or more experience
  • Communications skills Bilingual
  • Mining and Mineral Process would be an asset
  • Strong IT / Microsoft Windows skills
  • Knowledge of OS virtualization based on VMware or Citrix, MS; OPC, OPC/UA, ODBC
  • LAN/WAN industrial networks
  • Experience with ABB 800xA, Harmony and Symphony + systems
  • Cyber security applications would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6 and Naviswork viewer would be an asset.
  • Very good communication and teamwork skills
  • Problem solving and goal oriented.
