- Process semi-monthly payroll using ADP WorkForce Now for review and approval.
- Receive and compile information crucial for payroll and input into system.
- Ensure timely enrolment into benefit plan and maintain accuracy.
- Analyze and reconcile monthly billing from Sunlife.
- Manage Registered Savings Plan (RSP) enrolment program.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, and RSP
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment for non‑managerial positions, including job postings, candidate sourcing, resume screening, interview scheduling, and conducting initial phone interviews.
- Coordinate reference checks, background checks, and all pre-employment requirements.
- Administer the new hire onboarding process, including scheduling onboarding meetings, collecting and entering pre-hire documentation information into ADP, and working with Operations and Information Technology (IT) departments to ensure a positive new hire experience
- Maintain HR SharePoint as required
- Administer offboarding for exiting employees, including coordination of returning equipment
- Maintain up-to-date and confidential employee personnel files.
- First point of contact for all HR inquiries and escalate when required.
- Prepare staff communications and new hire announcements
- Respond to employee inquiries where appropriate.
- Administration of annual Legal Expense Insurance Benefit to employees, including file management and annual updates.
- Communicate with outside vendors as needed.
- Support Human Resources Manager in ongoing HR projects
- College Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related area.
- 1–3 years of HR coordination or administrative experience, including full‑cycle recruitment; familiarity with HRIS systems is an asset.
- Minimum 1 year of payroll experience, with knowledge of payroll legislation (ROEs, taxes, T4s); ADP Workforce Now experience is an asset.
- Proactive and analytical, with a strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of applicable employment legislation (Employment Standards Act, AODA, Health and Safety Act).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite; experience with HRIS systems is an asset
