If you are looking for interesting and challenging work, at a company committed to its people, find out more about what Aviso Wealth has to offer at .The Opportunity:We're looking for a Technical Solutions Analyst to join our IT team for a 12 month contract.This role can be mostly remote, however we will on occasion require you to come onsite to our office at 1111 West Georgia Street Vancouver, BC.Reporting to the Lead Technical Solutions the Technical Solutions Analyst is responsible for a wide range of duties at a strategic and tactical level. You will apply your industry and technical knowledge, and business acumen to solve a wide range of clients and business requirements. You will effectively manage advanced programs and resources to communicate successfully with our clients and other business units.Who you are:

What your day looks like:
  • Liaise with internal and external partners and stakeholders to analyze, define, document, and transform business requirements into functional and non-functional technical system requirements, interaction design, information architecture, and underlying data or processes requirements, including reports and data extracts requirements
  • Develop high level and detailed technical specifications in accordance with SDLC, security, governance and architecture documentation objectives
  • Work closely with members of the development, infrastructure and QA teams to review system requirements specification, and make sure that the implemented solutions meet customer expectations
  • Work with the application architect, business analysts, software vendor and other IT teams to design and implement downstream and upstream solution processes, interfaces or applications
  • Partner with infrastructure and business teams in order to design solutions and work with users to identify, diagnose and resolve business system issues or deficiencies proactively
  • Assists with implementation of vendor software releases and custom solutions into multiple environments
  • Provide time and cost estimates for customer service activities from inputs of different stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with customers, business units, partners and service providers to drive projects and services being delivered successfully
Requirements:Your experience and skills:
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in the field of computer science, engineering or information systems
  • 5+ years of related experience working in a complex environment
  • Expert knowledge using Microsoft SQL Server and/or ORACLE, and Relationship Database principles
  • Knowledge of database design and file management techniques
  • Understand of .NET and/or JAVA applications development, web, mobile and integration technologies
  • Completion of the CSC/IFIC Operations course would be an asset
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into data, application and operational requirements
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with various levels of management, staff and external clients
  • Ability to work independently within a team, multi-task and manage competing priorities
  • Excellent knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
  • Understanding of Services Agreements as related to commercial IT systems
  • Experience in supporting wealth management and/or credit unions business would be an asset
  • Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset
