You are an experienced Carpenter with strong commercial carpentry expertise, responsible for wood framing, finishing, and constructing concrete foundations on active job sites. Apply today to join our True Blue team in Edmonton!Essential Responsibilities:Understands basic commercial concrete forming and general commercial construction practices to accurately build concrete forms, scaffolding, shelters, and other structuresComprehends blueprint readings to prepare layouts including selecting materials, planning sequences, and methods of work, measuring and marking materials to avoid costly mistakes or omissionsRough and finish carpentry workConcrete support including heating & hoardingOperation of light equipmentInstallation of Doors, frames, hardware & misc. accessoriesWorks with the team to ensure tasks are completed safely, correctly, and on scheduleChecks completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb, and the right size, shape, and locationQualifications:Must have a Carpenter Ticket or a registered Carpenter Apprenticeship from a recognized provincial training authorityNon-ticketed Carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial carpentry tradeStandard First Aid Level C, Fall Protection and Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) certifications is a mustSuccessful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testingMust posses a valid form of government issued photo identificationBoom/Scissor Lift or skid steer certifications considered an assetWork Conditions:Regular work week of 44 hoursOvertime may be required to meet construction deadlinesWork will primarily be outdoors in various weather conditionsMust be comfortable working at heightsAdditional InformationLedcor Building offers full-service construction for commercial, residential, institutional, and light industrial projects, along with expertise in green building.
