
Manager, Global Infrastructure Advisory - Procurement & Commercial

- Work in a dynamic team environment to provide procurement, commercial and strategic infrastructure advice across various sectors with a particular focus on the front end of the project lifecycle (business case development and procurement)
- Contribute to the preparation of business cases, financial feasibility studies and market / sector analyses
- Prepare procurement strategies, informed by risk assessments and options analyses and validated through market soundings
- Develop procurement and contractual documentation, including request for qualification / proposal documentation, evaluation frameworks and commercial components of project agreements
- Support clients in the evaluation and negotiation stages of procurement processes.
- Develop and implement project governance, project management frameworks and related project delivery resources
- Bring innovative thinking and problem solving to the challenges of major project planning and delivery
- Keep across current market trends and developments, to the benefit of the team and our clients
- Undertake project / engagement management and client communication and reporting
- Oversee the contributions of junior advisory personnel, provide on the job training and mentoring and contribute to the overall skills enhancement and experience of the team
- Assist in marketing and business development including proposal preparation and the development of client relationships
- 6+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with large capital projects, including procurement and commercial advice.
- Knowledge of the project and program lifecycle activities supporting an infrastructure asset (Not IT projects)
- Experience developing and implementing procurement strategies for major projects
- Experience with all contract types and particular with collaborative contracting models, such as alliancing and other ‘progressive’ models
- Experience in the application of commercial concepts to infrastructure procurement – including the development of risk allocations, payment mechanisms and incentive structures
- An ability to think critically, to manage ambiguity and synthesize advice into clear and succinct materials. This includes an ability to be flexible and adaptive to respond to client needs
