
Content Licensing Manager (Revenue) - Hybrid

- Analyze existing licensing agreements with key partners and determine their strategic value.
- Scan the landscape for development trends and opportunities related to content licensing monetization and make fact-based recommendations of where to focus development efforts.
- Identify, develop and secure potential clients and partnerships in previously untapped areas of opportunity.
- Negotiate existing and new partnerships with support from Procurement and Legal.
- Act as primary point of contact and customer support for all existing content licensing relationships.
- Ensure content is being provided to partners through appropriate use of technology.
- Work in conjunction with the Corporate Group Subscriptions team to leverage mutual opportunities, support through administrative tasks and provide back up when necessary.
- Post secondary degree or diploma and 7 years of content licensing and/or monetization experience.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of the content licensing and monetization landscape including key players, pricing, business models, trends and opportunities. An appreciation of potential existing channel conflicts (e.g. B2C, B2B, B2E) and knowledge to reduce or eliminate them.
- Working with or for news media companies.
- 7+ years experience in prospecting, developing, negotiating and closing content licensing partnership deals, either from the licensor or license side.
- Advanced knowledge of MS office suite including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong project and time management.
- Excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
