Job Description:Robert Half Management Resources is the worldwide leader in specialized consulting and staffing services for senior-level accounting, finance and business systems professionals.Our Not-for-Profit client seeks a Financial Analyst for a 12-month contract. In this role you will oversee all aspects of project financial accounting, monitoring, reporting, and audit preparation.The Financial Analyst's duties will include:· Performing month-end/year-end closings, sub-ledger balancing, payment verification, exchange rate calculations, journal entries, and chart of accounts maintenance· Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports· Preparing donor financial reports in compliance with funding requirements· Preparing project working papers, reconciling accounts for audits, and supporting audit processes.· Providing variance analysis, creating project budgets and forecasts, and contributing to new project proposal development.· Other duties as requiredRequirements:The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:· Post-secondary education in a relevant field· At least three years of relevant experience, ideally in the not-for-profit/international development sector· Advanced Excel proficiency and experience accounting systems (eg. MS Dynamics GP, SAGE 50, Netsuite).· Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.· Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and proactively in a multicultural setting.· Prior experience supporting audits and ensuring internal controls.· Fluency in English and French required
