  • Develop mechanical systems using SolidWorks and CAD tools
  • Simulate performance using Ansys and other modeling softwares
  • Create 3D layouts, drawings, and schematics for parts and assemblies
  • Select components and materials based on performance, cost, and manufacturability
Testing & Validation
  • Define testing criteria and validation methods aligned with industry standards
  • Conduct system testing and troubleshooting using advanced diagnostic tools
  • Prepare detailed documentation including engineering calculations, FEA and CFD reports
Collaboration & Support
  • Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support production teams during equipment builds
  • Assist aftermarket and field teams with commissioning and troubleshooting
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure designs meet Komatsu's safety policies and applicable regulation
  • Identify and report unsafe work habits and promote safer solution
  • Maintain quality standards and seek opportunities to improve work output
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or C.Eng. Tech
  • 2-5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in mobile equipment
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ANSYS, and MATLAB
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of mechanical system integration, testing, and diagnostics Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for underground mining equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning
