Job SummaryDirector of Project ManagementPowerON Energy SolutionsFull-timeIn-Office | Toronto, ON, CanadaSalary range $140,000 - 180,000Reporting to the President & CEO, the Director of Project Management will oversee the execution of PowerON’s $500 million pipeline of major electrical projects. A key player on PowerON’s leadership team, the Director is responsible for a large team of project managers and project controls professionals.RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead the development and execution of PowerON’s electrification portfolio throughout all project life cycle phases including front-end planning, execution and project controlsApply a customer focused approach to develop and execute charging solutions on time and on budgetManage a team developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibilityManage the relationship with the client and all stakeholdersCoordinate and manage internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projectsPlan resource availability and allocationEnsure that all projects are delivered safely, on-time, within budget and with qualityDevelop detailed project management plans and reporting tools to track progressEnsure compliance with commercial and project management frameworkImplement project controls processes to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs in accordance with project management industry best practicesMeasure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniquesPerform risk management to minimize project risksEstablish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendorsCreate and maintain comprehensive project documentationWork with the Business Development team supporting new business development initiativesEnsure compliance with corporate safety programs and policies and communicate safety issues/concernsDevelop a climate which encourages the participation and involvement of all employees to continuously improve processes and systems.Other duties as required.QUALIFICATIONS:University Degree in Engineering, Business or related field.MBA is an assetPMP is an asset10+ years of experience in construction and project managementDirect experience managing electrical projects involving, solar, batteries, generation, substations or electric vehicle chargingTechnical knowledge of EV charging, battery storage and other electrical equipment as well as energy management systems.Strong business acumen to develop and execute profitable projects and contribute to PowerON’s business strategy.Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and leadership skills to motivate your team.While all qualified candidates are invited to apply, we particularly welcome applications from women, persons with disabilities, First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples, members of visible minorities, and 2SLGBTQ+ persons.We thank all applicants for their interest, however only those candidates selected for interviews will be contacted.
