The mountain safety attendant works as our on-hill representation of safety and guest service. Promote safety within our amazing sport by providing quality feedback and communication to our guests. Enjoy the outdoors and be the friendly face of the resort on the mountain.Job Specifications
- Starting Wage: $20.00/hr - $22.26/hr
- Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2025/2026
- Shift Type: Full Time hours available
- Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age
- Housing Availability: No
- To assist in the creation of the safest environment possible for our guests and staff.
- Enforce the Skier Responsibility Code and Resort policies with guests and employees.
- To create and maintain safe and well-marked trails/terrain for our guests.
- Be available when Patrol Dispatch needs extra personnel for crowd management.
- To ensure that the slow zones are well marked, monitored and guests are educated on Slow Zone objectives in a respectful manner.
- Perform speed control duties in pre-selected high traffic areas throughout the day.
- Communicating via radio.
- Provide strong guest service to internal and external guests.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Always show up on time, in uniform, and adhere to the grooming policy.
- Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
- Able to work extended hours outdoors in an alpine environment in adverse weather conditions.
- Intermediate to advanced skier/snowboarder and ability to ride in all conditions.
- Ability to recognize inappropriate or reckless behaviour on the slopes.
- Ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Positive and friendly personality.
