
Senior Business Systems Analyst

- Collaborate with clients, partners, internal development teams and other stakeholders
- Perform requirements assessments and translate requirements into specific system specifications
- Conduct gap analysis between requirements and available solutions
- Perform options assessments with impact analysis of alternatives
- Document end-to-end business workflows and operational support processes
- Define and document business, clinical, and end-user requirements
- Develop effort and cost estimates for project completion
- Develop contractual statements of work for the delivery of updates and new capabilities for TELUS Health IT solutions
- Support project planning for the delivery of those statements of work
- Ensure alignment on requirements and deliverables across TELUS development teams, TELUS partners and clients throughout the delivery of those statements of work
- Pro-actively identify and address requirements gaps that may arise during the delivery of those statements of work
- Support quality assurance activities and validate test coverage
- Develop product or program documentation including user guides, training materials and release notes
- Oversee quality management and system validation processes
- Develop and maintain requirements and business process documentation for TELUS solutions
- Partner with business and development teams to develop and execute process improvements
- Contribute to Roadmap planning for TELUS Health IT programs
- A graduate or undergraduate degree in business administration, health informatics, engineering, computer science, health management, clinical profession, a related discipline or relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in service operations or consumer business environments
- Experience in healthcare or insurance, particularly in clinical system or IT implementation
- Strong communication skills
- Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google productivity tools
- Demonstrated understanding of software design, implementation, and deployment processes, including:
- Requirements gathering
- Privacy and security considerations
- System and business readiness assessment
- Process improvement and change management
- Issue management
- Training development and delivery
- Operational support planning
- Experience working with large government or government adjacent agencies
- Experience in the healthcare insurance space and more specifically provincial compensation boards
- Knowledge of HL7 (V2 and V3), FHIR, CDA or other Healthcare IT standards
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of multiple TELUS Health programs that support clinicians and their critical work across the country
